Richard
Wright BArch FNZIA, Registered Architect
Richard is founder and principal of Aonui Architecture Ltd.
Richard’s green vision for NZ architecture can be
traced back to a rural upbringing. He has the experience
of 25 years of practice, providing low energy design solutions
within a broader palette of services to residential and
commercial clients.
He currently intersperses guest lecturing in sustainable
design at VUW School of Architecture with management of
the practice.

Emily Oakley BArch,
MArch (Prof.)
Emily joined Aonui Architecture at the beginning of 2011,
after finishing her studies at Victoria University. Emily
is interested in sustainable technologies, natural hazards
management, and urban design. She has written her thesis
for a Masters of Architecture, which involved a year-long
research into climate change theory, and a resolved urban
design response to sea-level rise for Wellington City.
