Richard Wright.

Richard Wright BArch FNZIA, Registered Architect
Richard is founder and principal of Aonui Architecture Ltd. Richard’s green vision for NZ architecture can be traced back to a rural upbringing. He has the experience of 25 years of practice, providing low energy design solutions within a broader palette of services to residential and commercial clients.

He currently intersperses guest lecturing in sustainable design at VUW School of Architecture with management of the practice.

Claire McDougall.

Claire McDougall BArch (Honours)
Claire has been working for Aonui Architecture since 2006. She has a strong commitment to research into environmental factors affecting human performance. Through working with children while studying fultime for her architecture degree, she has developed a strong interest in educational architecture. Claire is committed to creating engaging architecture that exceeds clients expectations.

Emily Oakley.

Emily Oakley BArch, MArch (Prof.)
Emily joined Aonui Architecture at the beginning of 2011, after finishing her studies at Victoria University. Emily is interested in sustainable technologies, natural hazards management, and urban design. She has written her thesis for a Masters of Architecture, which involved a year-long research into climate change theory, and a resolved urban design response to sea-level rise for Wellington City.
